CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A handful of counties across the Carolinas were placed under flash flood warnings or flood advisories on Tuesday morning.

The weather alerts were issued around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, as rain continued to blossom over South Carolina, drifting northeast into the Charlotte metro area.
