OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The man accused of seven counts of using a firearm to commit a felony in a North Omaha shooting Saturday appeared in court Tuesday.
Maurice Brown, 31, of Council Bluffs, also faces counts of second-degree assault, first-degree assault, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
On Tuesday, little new details were revealed in court by the prosecution other than that video footage was captured of the incident and that Brown arrived at a local hospital with wounds before his arrest.
The shooting was first reported at 4:20 a.m. as a ShotSpotter activation alert indicating multiple shots had been fired in the parking lot at Kelly’s Package Liquor, located at 30th and Pinkney streets.
Officers said that upon arrival, they saw “a large crowd leaving the scene.”
