‘Disgruntled’ employee in custody after incident at downtown Omaha restaurant, OPD says

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - One person is in custody after an incident at a downtown Omaha restaurant Wednesday morning.

Omaha police officers were called to Lula B’s Breakfast, Brunch, and Bar near 10th and Dodge streets at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

OPD Lt. Neal Bonacci tells First Alert 6 at the scene that in the incident, a “disgruntled employee” was making a threat or gesture at another employee while armed with a knife.

Bonacci says the manager was able to get the other employees to a safe area.

The employee later went to the office of the establishment still armed with the knife. Officers got them out and they were booked for terroristic threats.

No one was injured, according to Bonacci. He says there were only employees -- no customers -- at the time of the incident.
