HOMEWOOD, Ala. —

The siblings of Jabari Peoples are calling for the full release of the bodycam footage after they say what they saw from the Jefferson County District Attorney left them with more questions than answers.

Angel Smith, the sister of Jabari Peoples, said it wasn't clear that her brother had a gun in the video, and attorney Ben Crump's frustration could be seen as he described that Peoples did not point anything at the officer in the video.

"'This is my cell phone. This is my phone.' This is what my brother said. So I don't know what they're going to show within this edit or this video, but we would like to see the true, unedited version of it. And when it comes to me released to the public," Angel Smith said.
