Construction can begin for the first tenant of the Crossroads development in Omaha, after the Omaha City Council approved the project plans Tuesday.

Developers spoke with KETV Wednesday about the updated timeline for the project. The first tenant of the Crossroads redevelopment broke ground back in June.

"Phase one is about a third of the entirety of crossroads, so ends up being about ten acres," Josh Berger, Woodbury Corporation Director of Development, said. "These things, particularly as they get more complex, they just take more time. We're actively working on all three, the other two blocks, including the Cinemark block."
