GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - An Amazon driver has life-threatening injuries after they were hit by a truck’s trailer bed while delivering a package in Green Township Wednesday afternoon.

Green Township officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Hutchinson Road at 4:38 p.m. for a report of a person hit by a Ford F-250 truck.

The truck, which was hauling an empty flatbed trailer, was traveling north on Hutchinson Drive, police say. Meanwhile, an Amazon van was stopped southbound on Hutchinson Road to make a delivery.

The Amazon driver was crossing the road to deliver a package but failed to allow the oncoming truck to clear the path before crossing, causing the rear of the trailer to hit the pedestrian, police explained.
