PORTLAND, Ore. — The annual Providence Bridge Pedal event returns Sunday morning, which means drivers can expect disruption due to partial closures of six downtown Portland bridges, including the top decks of the Interstate 5 Marquam Bridge and the Interstate 405 Fremont Bridge.
The Bridge Pedal, now in its 29th year , includes four different bike routes ranging from the 3-mile Kids Pedal to the 23-mile Fremont Express. The routes all wind their way back and forth across multiple bridges, giving riders the opportunity enjoy the views from what are normally car-only vantage points. There's also a "Bridge Stride" route across the Fremont for people who would rather walk.
Full route and registration information can be found on Providence's webpage for the event .
