SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. -- A Sun Prairie woman is honoring her late husband's legacy through fitness and community support.

Most days, you can find Abby Barr on the floating floor at Burn Boot Camp in Sun Prairie, a place that’s become more than just a gym for her.

"Ultimately, I wanted to be able to give back to a place that helped me so much in my healing process," Abby said.

That healing process began after her family’s worst day: July 10, 2018. That's when her husband, Cory Barr, was killed in the tragic Sun Prairie explosion.

"After losing Cory, this was my go-to place to work out and be with the people in the community," Abby said. "Now, being able to own that and provide that space to other people, it it just fills my heart."
