DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A week after a fox attack in the Carolina Arbors neighborhood in Durham, a second rabid fox attack was reported by Durham County.
In a press release from the Durham County Sheriff's Office, this fox attack was reported in north Durham near the Voyager Academy campuses on August 6 in the area of Ben Franklin Boulevard.
County health officials urge people to stay away from all wild animals, or any animals showing unusual and dangerous signs of being unwell.
Officials said some signs of a rabid fox include aggression, stumbling, disorientation, and foaming at the mouth.
