DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) - Soon you can learn to help someone dealing with a mental health crisis or substance abuse and make a difference in your community.
Many of us would know how to help if we saw someone having a heart attack. We’d start CPR, or at the very least call 911.
But local officials say too few of us know how to respond if we saw someone having a panic attack or if we’re worried that a loved one, friend or coworker shows signs of substance abuse.

De Pere police, the De Pere Health Department, the St. Norbert Health and Wellness Center, and the Brown County Coalition for Suicide Prevention are teaming up for this.
The course is free. If you’re 18 or older, you can register on
