CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — No injuries were reported after an apparent shooting outside of a back-to-school event in west Charlotte.

The incident occurred at the C.W. Williams Community Health Center's main campus on Wilkinson Boulevard on Saturday.

The event was the 11th annual back-to-school community health fair that featured a dozen elected officials, such as U.S. Congresswoman Dr. Alma Adams and several Charlotte and Mecklenburg County leaders.

Police did not say if anyone was arrested in connection with the shooting.

Queen City News has reached out to the health center and Representative Adams for comment. As of publication, we have not heard back.
