CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A fire broke out at a south Charlotte home early Saturday morning, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

The incident occurred in the 3000 block of Cutchin Drive, around 1:55 a.m.

Crews arrived to find smoke and flames showing from the roof of the home. Crews searched the structure and confirmed that no one was inside at the time.

It took 30 firefighters 42 minutes to control the flames.

Thankfully, there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force later determined the fire was accidental and started in the attic.

The fire caused an estimated $355,000 in damages.
