ELYRIA, Ohio (WJW) – The body of a missing teenager who fell into the Black River on Thursday was found Saturday afternoon.

Elyria Police Captain Gerald Lantz confirmed to Fox 8 News that the body of 16-year-old Vincent Pabon has been found.

During continued search efforts on Saturday, Pabon's body was located and recovered around 3 p.m., a press release from the police department said.

“Our hearts are with Vincent’s family during this unimaginably difficult time,” said Capt. Bill Lantz, of the Elyria Police Department. “We extend our deepest condolences and will continue to support them as the investigation continues.”

On Thursday, a witness reported that Pabon had fallen into the river early that morning and never resurfaced, police said.
