CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections will run its first election from its new headquarters, a change the county elections director said will please voters.
The move is a significant upgrade from its previous facility, Director Anthony Perlatti said Monday.
“Much bigger, much brighter,” Perlatti said during a Monday press conference at the new location. “Individuals will be very surprised when they come to the space. It is, again, such an enhancement and upgrade from where we were.”
The move comes ahead of the Sept. 9 municipal primary election, which includes seven wards in Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, East Cleveland, Garfield Heights, Maple Heights and one precinct in Lakewood.
Early voting in several contests for those primary elections begins Tuesday.
