CLEARFIELD COUNTY (WTAJ) - Local farmers and national leaders gathered in Clearfield County to address the pressing issues of grocery prices and food insecurity, exploring how the agriculture industry can contribute to solutions.

The meeting highlighted the challenges faced by families in the United States, where food insecurity remains a significant concern despite the availability of resources. Discussions focused on enhancing programs that support families in need, particularly during times when children do not have access to school meals.

"We do have families that are struggling. But we have some great programs out there that we need to make sure are resilient and be able to supplement and assist those families in a time of need," Congressman Glenn Thompson said.
