ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - As it drew closer to 7 p.m. Monday, more chairs were brought in to meet the growing stream of locals listening to the ongoing concerns about brown and discolored water in Bethalto.
First Alert 4 has been following this story for days -- residents in the small Illinois community have been dealing with discolored water, in some cases, for decades. But it’s only been recently, as they’ve come together as a group, that they’ve been pushing for specific answers.
During the meeting, locals stood up to ask about the tests being completed on water safety, if pipes were possibly to blame and to air frustration with communication with local officials.
