A 4-year-old child was rushed to Boston Children’s Hospital on Monday night after falling from a 3rd-story window in Dorchester, police said.
Officers responded to an address on Evans Street around 9:20 p.m. Monday for a report of a child falling from a window, said Officer Michael Torigian, a Boston Police spokesman.
Boston Emergency Medical Services was called to the scene and brought the child to Boston Children’s Hospital, Torigian said.
The child sustained serious injuries in the fall and was listed in critical, but stable, condition at the hospital, Torigian said.
Detectives from the department’s homicide unit also responded to the scene, a typical procedure when someone is gravely injured.
