GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island woman facing dozens of felony theft charges is still unfit for trial. And a decision whether to force her to take anti-psychotic drugs is pending.

Court records show that a judge Friday ruled 47-year-old Kelli Lepler incompetent to stand trial. She’s been ordered to continue treatment at the Lincoln Regional Center.

Lepler is charged in Hall County with 46 counts of theft by deception. Court documents show that Lepler is accused of taking money from customers to buy headstones and then not delivering them. Police said the victims’ losses totaled more than $200,000.

Lepler was charged with the crimes in September 2023 but has never been tried in court.
