BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Above normal rain chances will continue for at least a couple more days, with building heat becoming a concern by the weekend.
WEDNESDAY FORECAST
No major changes are expected on Wednesday, with highs in the low 90s, and rain chances running around 60%.
Rain chances will again peak during the afternoon and evening hours, with some of our guidance suggesting best rain chances may hold off until late in the day.
EYE ON THE GULF
As of Tuesday evening, the National Hurricane Center is now highlighting the potential for tropical development in the southwestern Gulf. However, development odds are only listed at 20% and the system in question will likely track toward northern Mexico and south Texas. It does not appear to be a threat to the northern Gulf Coast.
