ProgressPAC, the political arm of the Business Council of Alabama (BCA), announced on Tuesday its endorsement of Caroleene Dobson in her campaign for the Republican nomination for Secretary of State in 2026.

Dobson seeks to replace Secretary of State Wes Allen, who is running for Lt. Governor.

"Caroleene Dobson understands the needs of hardworking Alabamians and the businesses that drive our economy," ProgressPAC Chairman Gary Smith said in a statement. "She has the intellect and experience to ensure fair and secure elections, but equally important – she will be a staunch advocate for business owners across Alabama by safeguarding business filings, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and upholding transparency and accountability."
