As the summer sun begins to wane and the scent of fresh notebooks and sharpened pencils fills the air, students across the country are preparing to return to school. Some are already back in classes and others will begin soon.
With staff already prepping school for the past couple weeks, children across Clinton and Sampson County are now poised for a return to classrooms, with students in Clinton City Schools and Mintz back as of Monday, Harrells Christian attendees back Thursday and, finally, pupils across Sampson County Schools starting a week later, on Aug. 18.
