Councilman Ron Elliott, in partnership with the Hamilton County Mayor’s Office, TEMA, and the Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security, is leading a comprehensive damage assessment following the severe weather and flash flooding on August 12, 2025.
The assessment covers all Chattanooga properties—residential, commercial, and businesses—that experienced water intrusion or storm-related damage.
Elliott, who represents District 9, emphasized the importance of community resilience and pledged to secure aid for those impacted.
Residents and business owners are urged to report damages to their insurance providers and submit damage details, including your full address , contact info, a brief description of the damage , and photos , to council-clerk@chattanooga.gov
