ATLANTA — A report published Wednesday details continuing modest growth in the metro Atlanta region, including disproportionate growth in the City of Atlanta itself.

The population growth estimates for April 2024-25 were published by the Atlanta Regional Commission, which covers an 11-county zone and the City of Atlanta.

According to the report, the region added 64,400 people in the 12-month period that ended in April. That's a 1.2% growth rate in line with the overall 1.2% growth rate the report pegs the region at from 2020-25.
