SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)-- There has been a strike to a gas line in Syracuse, New York.

So far, the only information is that the Syracuse Fire Department has been dispatched to the area of Burnet and Midler Avenues in response to a third-party strike of a gas line on August 14, 2025. Construction crews struck the gas line, causing the leak.

The crews responded and evacuated businesses and homes in the immediate area. There were no injuries reported.

They controlled the scene, and National Grid responded to make repairs and ensure safety.
