MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) — Two people were taken into custody after a man was shot in the parking lot of a Giant Eagle over the weekend and eventually died, Maple Heights police reported.

Officers responded to the 5300 block of Warrensville Center Road around 1:40 p.m. Saturday, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, 28-year-old Timothy Kappenhagen succumbed to his injuries just before 7 a.m. on Sunday.
