MACON, Ga. — The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is urging businesses to apply for loans to help with losses from Hurricane Helene by their deadline of Sept. 15.

Many counties in Georgia are eligible to apply for economic relief caused by Hurricane Helene.

These low-interest federal disaster loans are meant to offset the economic losses that Hurricane Helene caused, and many counties in Georgia are eligible, according to an SBA media release.

The Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is available for small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, nurseries and PNPs with losses directly related to the disaster, according to SBA.
