The Crowne Gardens apartment complex in west Greensboro has been sold for $60.2 million to a California group in what is the city's largest multi-family residential transaction in recent years.

The complex at 1511 New Garden Road contains 344 garden-style luxury units.

According to a Guilford County Register of Deeds filing, the buyers of the complex are three affiliates of Stratford Real Estate Partners LLC of Del Mar, California.

The sellers are three affiliates of Crowne Partners Inc. of Birmingham, Alabama.

The property’s amenities include a designer clubhouse, resort style pool, fitness center and a dog park.
