DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — An early Friday morning shooting in Durham sent a teenager to the hospital, police said.

According to the Durham Police Department, the incident happened around 1 a.m. in the 900 block of Wadesboro Street.

Shortly after officers responded to a call about a disturbance with a weapon in the area, police said a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound was brought to the hospital by another individual. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

A preliminary investigation determined the teenager was shot in the area of the 900 block of Wadesboro Street, according to Durham police.

Police said no arrests have been made as of Friday afternoon. The shooting remains under investigation.
