EDGEFIELD, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Three people were injured and two were arrested as a dispute played out on social media, ending with a shoot-out that was livestreamed on Facebook.

The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office responded Friday morning to the shooting soon after 11 a.m. Friday at Walnut Street and Rosa Hill Street.

Three people were hurt in the incident that happened just across the street from a church. Two people were taken into custody, the sheriff said.

One witness reported hearing 15 shots in rapid succession.

Another witness said, “It sounded like someone emptied their clip.”

Yellow police tape surrounded a small one-story house, and investigators congregated near the end of the road, with an abundance of evidence markers on the roadway.
