Shotsie Michael Buck-Hayes, the man accused of dousing City Councilmen Lee Vogler with gasoline and setting him on fire last month, has withdrawn his request for a bond heating.
Danville Commonwealth's Attorney Michael Newman told the Register & Bee on Friday that the court had just accepted the withdrawal.
Buck-Hayes had been scheduled for a bond hearing in Danville General District Court on Tuesday morning.
"There will be no hearing Tuesday," Newman said.
Buck-Hayes' court-appointed attorney, Edward Lavado, would not comment Friday when asked why the bond request was withdrawn.
The 29-year-old faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated malicious wounding.
Lavado would not comment on the charges against Buck-Hayes.
