SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A Scottsdale CEO is facing a dozen charges after federal prosecutors said he stole money from employee benefit plans in a $2.4 million scheme to pay for lavish hunting trips.

The Department of Justice unsealed the indictment on Friday against 47-year-old James Vincent Campbell, the head of Axim Fringe Solutions Group, LLC , a company that processes benefits for workers of federal contractors.

Axim’s clients sent money to the company to pay for health insurance premiums and 401 (k) retirement contributions. Axim then forwarded that cash to insurance carriers and retirement accounts.
