MAYSVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - A couple in Maysville is behind bars after a traffic stop led to a drug bust.

The Maysville Police Department posted on Facebook that they were in the middle of a traffic stop on Thursday night between KY 9 and KY 11 when an officer noticed drug paraphernalia in the car.

After a search, police say they found 111 grams of methamphetamine in the car.

Kevin Lawrence and Jeannine Riley were arrested shortly after and are both being held in the Mason County Detention Center. Both are charged with trafficking controlled substances, but Lawrence also had arrest warrants in multiple counties.
