DUMMERSTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermont State Police investigating a large fire in Dummerston.

Officials say it happened around 3:30p.m. Saturday when crews responded to 461 Miller Rd. for the report of a fire.

The flames spread fast, and multiple fire crews from the area helped battle the blaze.

Crews got the fire under control just after 5p.m. -- though some stayed watch overnight.

One firefighter received minor injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Vermont State Police Fire Investigation unit and Fire Marshal’s Office.
