PERRY CO., Tenn. (WSMV) - All Perry County schools will be closed on Monday, August 18 due to an online threat.

For safety reason, staff and students will not report to schools, the school district said.

The Director of Schools, Eric Lomax, was notified by the Perry County Sheriff’s Office about the threat, according to the school system’s social media page.

WSMV4 is working to learn the details surrounding the threat and if an investigation is underway.
