ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Just off the banks of the Chattahoochee River in Gwinnett County, the city of Peachtree Corners is home to more than just 40,000 people.
James Robinson and so many others in the city are concerned about the vast number of deer roaming in the neighborhood.
“I have never seen two dozen deer like I do right now,” Robinson said.
Many residents said the deer have become a safety hazard in the roadways, making driving conditions dangerous.
City leaders conducted a survey of nearly 800 residents.
87% said they see deer on their property daily or weekly, 74% experienced deer-related property damage and 53% witnessed or experienced deer and vehicle collisions.
