Firefighters have rushed to the Folkestone Harbour area over a huge blaze at a derelict building. Crews rushed to the scene in the early hours of Tuesday (August 19) after a fire broke out in Tram Road.

People living, working or travelling in the area have been told to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from the site. Three fire engines and a height vehicle are currently in attendance.

Crews are using main jets to contain the fire and extinguish the flames. A KFRS spokesperson said: "Please share this information with any loved ones in the area who may be affected but do not have access to the internet."
