Possible active shooter reported on University of Tennessee at Chattanooga campus

(Gray News) - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is on lockdown as police investigate a possible active shooter situation on campus.

The university sent out an alert at about 12:57 p.m. Thursday reporting a possible active shooter at the University Center or the university’s library.

“Run. Hide. Fight,” the alert said.

A Hamilton County emergency alert reported the campus was on lockdown and advised residents to avoid the area.
