Two teens were robbed at knifepoint as they sat on a bench. Kent Police were called to the River Medwat near Broadway on Thursday, August 14, following reports of an incident.

Once at the scene, it was reported that wo teenagers were robbed a knifepoint while sitting on a bench in the area. CCTV operators identified and tracked the suspects as they entered the town again.

Officers were directed to their location and all three were arrested. A subsequent search of an address linked to one of them led to the recovery of a machete.

Two of the men have since been charged in connection with robbery and weapons offences and remain subject to court proceedings. These are just some of the arrests made by Kent Police in relation to a number of offences in recent days.
