LAWRENCE — Kansas football’s season opener is scheduled for Saturday, at home against Fresno State with a 5:30 p.m. (CT) kickoff.

The Jayhawks are about to start the fifth season of coach Lance Leipold’s tenure in Lawrence. For the Bulldogs, it’s the first opportunity to see what it’ll look like with coach Matt Entz leading the way. It’s a week zero matchup in non-conference play.
