The Wilson County – Tennessee State Fair shattered its weekday attendance record on Aug. 21, coinciding with cooler temperatures in the region.
Fair attendance at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center in Lebanon on Aug. 21 was 70,602 – more than 10,000 attendees over the previous record for a Thursday set in 2024. The night was also a record for any other non-fair Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Attendance for the 2025 fair, which runs Aug. 14-23 at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center in Lebanon, was down overall during its first seven days coinciding with hotter than normal temperatures in Middle Tennessee, even for August.
The temperature reached 94 degrees on opening day of the 2025 fair on Aug. 14 and highs were 98 degrees on Aug. 16 and 17, the first Saturday and Sunday of the fair.
