SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - Dry weather has returned to most of the ArkLaTex on Friday. This hot and dry weather pattern will continue this weekend. The heat will ease next week with plenty of rain possible.

Weekend temperatures: Typically, this time of year, daytime highs are mainly in the middle 90s. We will experience above-normal temperatures this weekend. Expect daytime highs on both Saturday and Sunday to be in the mid to upper 90s. Overnight lows will also be a little above normal in the low to middle 70s.

Lots of sunshine and no rain: Upper-level high pressure will expand over the ArkLaTex from the northwest. This will keep us dry. Futurecast shows that we will see a clear to partly cloudy sky on Friday night. Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds on Saturday. We will stay partly
