TEXARKANA, TX (KTAL/KMSS) – Texas High is coming off a 12-1 season, and with many high-caliber returners, they are expecting to once again be right there at the top of the 5A-DII.
"12 of these guys were on varsity as sophomores, two of these guys were on varsity as freshmen, and so that's a lot of experience," said head coach Gerry Stanford.
That varsity experience has already paid off, creating many valuable players on both sides of the ball as Texas High steps into the 2025 season.
"A lot of people have taken a lot of snaps in big games and I think that's what's going pay dividends at our quarterback spot," Stanford said.
Kam Wrightner has been in line to take over the quarterback spot since his freshman year, but instead of being a quiet understudy he was making impacts all over the
