HILLSBORO, Ore. — Oregon Heritage Farms, a mainstay fall destination for Portland-area families, has closed permanently after 28 years. A post on the farm's Facebook page last week announced that it would not be opening for the 2025 fall season and that 2024 would retroactively be considered its final year in operation. The farm's website carries a similar message.

The apple orchard and farm on Scholls Ferry Road in Washington County was founded by Phil McLennan and his son Robert McLennan and remained a family-run operation for nearly three decades, specializing in apples and pumpkins.
