Drink drivers and drug drivers have still appeared in this week's list and they have faced the inevitability of losing their licences as a consequence.

For one they were disqualified for 18 months but for another they will not be allowed back on the road for three years, due to what a drug swipe revealed.

There appears to be a surge in people choosing to speed - or at least being caught speeding, although speeding is always relative to the location, especially in 30mph zones where just a few miles an hour can result in a fine or in some cases not just points, but even - as with drink driving - the loss of your licence.

Others were dealt with for possessing drugs and possessing weapons while one man was handed a fine for not complying with a direction to leave an area by a police officer
