MENASHA, Wis. ( WBAY /Gray News) - A mother, with the help of good Samaritans, acted quickly to save her child after her vehicle went into the water.
Officers with the Menasha Police Department were dispatched to the Menasha Marina at about 8:53 p.m. after receiving a report of a vehicle that had gone into the water.
When officers arrived, they learned the driver, a woman, had been inside the vehicle with her one-year-old child, who was secured in a car seat.
Police said the mother acted with “extraordinary courage,” freeing her child from the submerged vehicle and bringing the child to safety.
