PHOENIX (AZFamily) — It’s another hot one again today with highs around 110 degrees. This time of year, we should be seeing high temperatures around 105, so we will be five degrees above average.

It will be another humid start to our weekend, which will likely be fuel for thunderstorms, so expect a slight chance of storms again this afternoon. With some of those storms, we could see another round of strong winds.

The best chance for monsoon activity will remain in the mountain areas of the state over the weekend. Storm chances will increase next week, around a 30-40% chance Tuesday through Thursday. As high pressure weakens, we can expect to see cooler temperatures in the forecast. We’re looking at 106 on Monday.
