WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The "Friends of the Monarch Trail" are inviting the community to come out and cheer on the monarch butterflies, as they start their migration to Mexico.
On Sat., Aug, 23, the group is hosting the annual "Monarch Migration Celebration!" at the Echelon Commons in Wauwatosa.
At the free event, guests can learn about the life cycle of the monarch butterfly, as well as take guided adventures on the Trail.
There will also be live music, face painting, and kid's activities, and of course live caterpillars, chrysalises, and butterflies.
And at 6:00 p.m., there will be a planned "Butterfly Release". For more information on the celebration, you can check out the group's website or Facebook page.
