OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – Police are investigating a head-on collision that left one person dead, and two others seriously injured.
The crash happened around 6:42 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, in Georgetown Township.
Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies say a 54-year-old Jenison man was driving a Nissan west on Fillmore Street when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound Chevrolet pickup head-on.
The Jenison man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 20-year-old Farmington Hills man, and one passenger, a 21-year-old Hudsonville woman, were both taken by ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
