MECOSTA COUNTY, MI – A 58-year-old man was injured after he crashed his vehicle into a tree, Mecosta County sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Saturday, Aug. 23, near U.S. 131 and 4 Mile Road.

Police say the Cedar Springs man lost control of his vehicle on the wet road. The vehicle then went off the road and hit a tree.

The man was pinned in his vehicle and freed by firefighters, police said. After, the man was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

Police said his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
