MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) -- A man from Grand Bay is dead after a pickup truck and SUV collide head-on early Saturday morning.

According to a news release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a pickup truck driven by 46-year-old James Born Jr. collided head-on with an SUV. ALEA says Born was killed in the crash and was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash happened on US Highway 90 at about 4:15 Saturday morning, near the Mississippi state line. The news release did not say what may have caused the crash. The crash kept Highway 90 closed for hours while crews cleared the scene and investigated the incident.
